What happens to the details you send us through this site.

Last updated: September 2026

This site has two forms — Book the Experience and Organize Yourself. They are the only places it collects anything about you. For visitor counts we use Simple Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects nothing personal — see below. There is no advertising, and nothing follows you between sites.

Who is responsible

Digesting the Future, a non-profit, public-purpose initiative run by Dark Matter Labs with Regen Food Systems, is the data controller. Reach us at info@digestingthefuture.org.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form:

Alongside it we store which form you used, which page you sent it from, and your browser's user-agent string — enough to make sense of an enquiry and to spot automated abuse.

We do not store your IP address. It is used momentarily to rate-limit submissions and is then discarded.

Why, and on what basis

To reply to you and to arrange the thing you asked about. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not use your details for anything you did not contact us about.

How long we keep it

24 months from your last contact with us, after which the enquiry is deleted. If a conversation turns into a piece of work, the records belonging to that work are kept for as long as we are required to keep project and financial records.

Who else sees it

Two processors, both on our instructions and neither for their own purposes:

Our hosting is with Hostinger. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or restrict what we do with it, and you can object to us holding it at all. Email info@digestingthefuture.org and we will act within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in Sweden, IMY; in the UK, the ICO.

Analytics

We use Simple Analytics to count visits, so we know which parts of this site get read and which get skipped. It was chosen because it is the quiet kind: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site profile, and no personal data collected or sold. What it records is the page, the referrer and a coarse country — aggregate numbers, never a person. Their privacy policy sets out the detail.

Because none of it identifies you, there is nothing here to opt out of and no banner asking you to agree to anything.

Cookies

This site sets none — the analytics above are why we can still say that. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the film on the dinners page is embedded from YouTube in its no-cookie mode — but if you play it, YouTube will see that request. Nothing else reaches a third party.

Written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, just ask — info@digestingthefuture.org.
